Studying abroad

  • The Institute of Business Administration offers several possibilities for your stay abroad within your studies at Kiel University.


    Erasmus+ program of the European Union

    The Erasmus+ program funds student exchanges from 2 months up to 12 months for an internship and 3 months up to 12 months for a study abroad.

    If you are on a stay abroad with the Erasmus+ program you don’t have to pay tuition fees at the partner university, completed courses get accepted and you will get a monthly scholarship up to 500 Euros for a study abroad and up to 700 Euros for an internship abroad. On one hand the scholarship depends on the living expenses of the country you are going to. On the other hand the universities in Germany choose the amount of the scholarship. You can combine your Erasmus+ scholarship with any other scholarship e.g. BAFÖG or Deutschlandstipendium.

    Non-European Cooperations

    The Institute of Business Administration also has four partner universities which are not in europe, where you can study abroad. Because of this partnership you don’t have to pay tution fees there as well as your completed courses get accepted at Kiel University. You won’t get any Erasmus+ scholarship but you can apply for other scholarships at the International Center at Kiel University.     Double Degree for Masters studies

    The Institute of Business Administration offers a partnership with the IGR-IAE of Universite de Rennes with the opportunity to take a double degree which means you get an additional master’s degree.  You will get this specialized master’s degree after 2 semester of studies in france from Kiel University.
